I have been an avid amateur astronomer since I was a kid. Growing up in the rural Oakley area, I can remember on summer nights taking a blanket outside to the front yard and laying and watching the night sky, seeing the Milky Way stretching overhead. I have multiple telescopes that I use for observing the night sky, and a digital telescope. I have been pursing an interest in astrophotography, capturing images of the night sky. I also am a past president of the Decatur Area Astronomy Club (club is no longer active) and a long time member of CUAS (Champaign Urbana Astronomical Society). I have also for many years (more than I like to admit) done volunteer work with the Macon County Conservation District helping with their astronomy programs over the years. I enjoy doing public presentations about astronomy and being able to share my love of the night sky with others.
I am a long time member of CUAS, the Champaign-Urbana Astronomical Society. I also serve CUAS in the position of Membership Coordinator, helping to manage our membership database and keeping data up to date. You can find out more information about CUAS by clicking on the button provided.
My imaging telescope of choice is by Dwarf Labs. The Dwarf2 has been an incredible device that has allowed me to capture some amazing images, some posted down below.
Introducing DWARF 3, the world’s most portable and all-round smart telescope.

I am currently working on a new gallery section for my images, where I am able to provide more details about the images taken. My tools include the incredible Dwarf 2 digital telescope, and I am awaiting the arrival of the Dwarf 3 digital telescope which is releasing soon. I also have a Seestar S50 digital telescope that I have only recently started to use.
